Key Stage 4 Option Choices
The Key Stage Four Curriculum at West Kirby Grammar School comprises:
- Mathematics (some students will take Further Mathematics GCSE in addition)
- English Language
- English Literature
- A Foreign Language
- A Humanity Subject
- Either Biology, Chemistry & Physics or Science & Additional Science
- Two or Three options dependent upon Science pathway
- Physical Education
- Ethics, Careers and PSHE "impact" days
Our Key Stage 4 curriculum ensures that students are prepared for the rigour of A-level study. Whilst almost all students will graduate from Key Stage 4 with ten GCSEs, some students will study fewer and will follow a personalised curriculum pathway in Year 11.
Our Key Stage 4 curriculum also enables students to achieve the Government’s revised EBACC measure and high standards of achievement will yield a strong Progress 8 score for all students.
